Grades 6-8

The temptation in middle school is to shift to more direct instruction so that student can 'get ready for high school.' Try to resist that temptation and continue to employ instructional strategies that foster collaboration, exploration, experimentation, and creativity. When's the last time you found a straight lecture helpful and memorable? Well?
