All of the lessons in K-2 build the foundations for student success. Although a great deal of early education prepares kids for the testing that starts in grade 3, we must resist the temptation to teach only ELA & Math. We must explore other disciplines, develop interdisciplinary units, and, yes, make time for science and social studies. Here are some ideas to help you get started.
